GOING HOME TOMORROW
We were told this morning that we get to go home tomorrow! I am excited but terrified at the same time. I am really concerned still about her heart. The surgeon said he thought he got everything "fixed" but by looking at the echo her valve is still leaking. UGH! The docs say it's not abig deal, but with what Trinity has been through already 2 surgeries in 12 hours, i would expect it to be fixed! Yeah right.. I know he is only human. She is recovering great. And as happy as ever. Her heart rate is still pretty low when she sleeps. I am having to teach her how to suck again and that is very frustrating for me and her! She was on the feeding tube for8 weeks and would NOT take a passy, so.. we are going home with the feeding tube until she learns again, but her it is almost time for solids. She is also going to be on some blood pressure medicine, so they heart won't have to work as hard, they said they do not want that leak ripping. We had a nurse the other day and she had the nerve to pick her up under the arms!! I freaked and told her never to do that again! She is done with her morphine withdrawls so i am very happy about that, it was really hard seeing my 5 month old having to go through that. HUGS!

Everything is not fine and dandy like i thought last night. She was really restless last night and pulled out her IV's in her hand and foot. That i was the least of my worries. The surgeon came in around 9 this morning and wanted to take the pacemaker wires and the chest tube out. He took the pacemaker wires and noticed some discharge by the chest tube and no blood was coming out of the tube. Her stats began to FALL, my mom was in the room, i had to step out.. He then told the nurse to call the team in, that team in...STAT! And asked my mom to leave. While she was waking out of the PICU, there were around 30 people running in. She came and found me and i wanted to FAINT. All i could do was scream...He then performed an EMERGENCY surgery (2nd surgery), he had her back open in a matter of 2 minutes, they did not have time to sedate her. When the surgeon pulled the wires out, it punctured the heart. And caused major bleeding. She had blood clots. By this time we did not know what was going on. A feeling came over me like i have never felt before. I wanted to die. We were in the waiting room, and here comes the surgeon. He was upset, in his 15 years of experience this has never happened. And usually his assistant pulls out the wires, but something sent him, it was GOD that sent him. If his assistant did it, she would not have made it. I am just really nervous of infection, they did not have time to steralize. She is in stable condition... pretty much in a paralyzed state. Usually they said they wait to remove the wires when they are in their own room. IF they would have waited and this would have happened, she would not have made it. Her left lung has collapsed. Please continue to pray for my DD. Thank you.

OUR BABY GIRL IS "FIXED"
I was so terrified for this day to come, but happy at the same time. Words can't express what i was feeling during the waiting period and then when they took her.
We arrived at THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL at the OU MEDICAL BUILDING at 7 a.m. this morning, they then took her blood through a vein in her head. We waited in the big waiting room til around 11 or so. They pulled the whole family back into a room, where we talked with the team and what we were facing. She was extremely fussy at this point, hungry, tired, and just wanted to be home i think. Then they took us to the "holding room" the family followed. Me, Derrick, Morgan, Cody, and JENN..Grandma Deb, Grandpa Tim, Grandma Suzi, Grandpa Wes, Grandma Alice, Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa, and Great-Grandma Betty, Kevin (which he said a prayer with all of us a couple times) This is where we had to say our "goodbyes". I was pretty much a wreck at this point. She headed in surgery around 12:30p.m. They called at 1:30 saying she was asleep from the gas and about to start the lines. The surgeon then came in at 1:50 and said he was about to get "started". HE made the surgical incision at 2:01pm and she would be on the bypass machine within the next hour! She was on the bypass machine by 2:59p.m. 3:48 got a call saying she was being weened off bypass. And that everything was looking great. Around 4:15p.m. Cardologists went and did an EKG, ECHO to make sure everything was fine and fixed. IT WAS!! 4:40 nurse came in and said she was now being closed up and gave us our room number. 5:10p.m. Dr. Paliotta (surgeon) came in and said she was in good shape and everything was looking great! She did have to have a blood transfusion, but no internal bleeding. At 6:10p.m. i got to see my baby girl, she looked way better than what expected. I love seeing her whole chest rise when she breathes, it's beautiful. They took the venilator out 9:15 p.m. and she has been doing great. She is starting to wake up a little and get kind of fussy, but she is a fighter, OUR MIRACLE BABY!. Thank you for all the support, the prayers, for everything, for GOD giving her surgeon the ability to work with his hands and heal my baby girl's heart. It is a blessing, truly amazing.

2 days until Trinity gets her heart fixed!! We will be @ The Children's hospital @ the OU Medical Center in OKC, for 7 to 10 days if everything goes smoothly, which it will. She will be in the PICU for 3-5 days and a regular room 3-5 days. Below are some pictures from her Pre-op appoinment. In one picture her arm restraints are sooooo nasty! I tried to wash them but it was impossible, she would go straight for her tube! But we got new ones!!!
My mom bought me a camcorder for my 1st Mother's Day, to record Trinity's Journey and all her firsts! I love it! Well talk to you soon!

Hello there everyone!! It's been awhile since i have posted anything on here!! It has been kinda crazy needless to say! Wednesday the 29th was an eventful day, Trinity was taking a nap on Grandma's chest and her tape gor caught on her shirt and pulled her feeding tube out about 10cm! I freaked of course and the we spent 4 hours at the St. Mary's ER. It's just really stressful having a baby w/special needs and the hospitals here are not equipped for that kinds of stuff!! I was hoping to have a relaxing last week before her open heart surgery, but not so lucky.
Her pre-op appointment was Friday May 1st. It went pretty well and we got to meet the surgeon. The bad news was we got told her surgery was post poned until Thursday May 7th. Due to a baby being in critical condition needing surgery 1st thing monday, so we got bumped! I guess it wasn't the right timing. But i pray that that baby is doing better! So we have 2 days until surgery! You would think i would be already packed and ready, but not me!
I want to thank everyone for the support that we have gotten. It's amazing to know that there are thousands of people praying for her and alot of churches ranging from, Cherokee, Kremlin, Enid, and OKC! It's such a blessing! The 7th is going to be one rough day, well week or two! I will try to post when i have time and keep everyone updated. From my heart to yours! God bless.

A WEEK & A HALF UNTIL TRINITY'S SURGERY...
So i'm trying to look at the bright side of things and to be strong, but this is sooo hard. I can't wait until she is a normal happy baby, that i can just take to Wal-mart, or to the park! I am so ready to get this tube out and i know she is too! She is getting to be a chunky monkey! She weighes 13 pounds 0.7 ounces! She laughed the other day for the first time and i almost cried. It was the cutest thing ever! I ordered her a bumbo and she absolutely loves it! It's amazing how fast babies grow, i tell her everyday to stop growing and stay a baby forever. But it's not seeming to work! She recently has a cold, that we must get rid of before surgery! She is to have to infections whatsoever!! I love my little angel ! She is what keeps me going...My sis moved back from Colorado and is loving every minute spending time with Trinity. She has been alot of help and loves being an AUNT!! Well i think that's it for now, not much going on, just counting down the days til surgery....
