Everything is not fine and dandy like i thought last night. She was really restless last night and pulled out her IV's in her hand and foot. That i was the least of my worries. The surgeon came in around 9 this morning and wanted to take the pacemaker wires and the chest tube out. He took the pacemaker wires and noticed some discharge by the chest tube and no blood was coming out of the tube. Her stats began to FALL, my mom was in the room, i had to step out.. He then told the nurse to call the team in, that team in...STAT! And asked my mom to leave. While she was waking out of the PICU, there were around 30 people running in. She came and found me and i wanted to FAINT. All i could do was scream...He then performed an EMERGENCY surgery (2nd surgery), he had her back open in a matter of 2 minutes, they did not have time to sedate her. When the surgeon pulled the wires out, it punctured the heart. And caused major bleeding. She had blood clots. By this time we did not know what was going on. A feeling came over me like i have never felt before. I wanted to die. We were in the waiting room, and here comes the surgeon. He was upset, in his 15 years of experience this has never happened. And usually his assistant pulls out the wires, but something sent him, it was GOD that sent him. If his assistant did it, she would not have made it. I am just really nervous of infection, they did not have time to steralize. She is in stable condition... pretty much in a paralyzed state. Usually they said they wait to remove the wires when they are in their own room. IF they would have waited and this would have happened, she would not have made it. Her left lung has collapsed.
